They are designed for pumping water with total mineralisation (dry residue) not more than 1,5g/l, with temperature from 273 to 308K (from 1 to 35°C), with chloride ions content not more than 200mg/l, sulphates - not more than 600mg/l, pH from 6,5 to 9,5 with mass concentration of suspended particles not more than 3 g/l (0,3%), size up to 0,1 mm, of them abrasive particles not more than 2%, microhardness not more than 10000 MPa. Rotary lobe pump. The connection of pump and motor shafts is rigid flanged.

Rotor rotation direction is anti-clockwise when the pump is viewed from above. The load from the hydraulic axial force and the weight of the pump rotor is taken up by the heel of the electric motor. The sliding bearings of the pump are made with removable liners.

The bearings are sealed with rubber face seals. Maintenance of the pump is periodic. The design of the impeller chamber allows inspection and repair of the impeller and straightening apparatus without dismantling the whole pump.
