Manipulators are designed to move and stack fallen trees or their parts for loading (unloading), stacking, sorting and performing other forestry and logging operations. In stationary version manipulators can also be used for transshipment of scrap metal, solid domestic waste and other cargoes. Manipulators are mounted on trucks of domestic and foreign production, which by their characteristics (in terms of stability and permissible axle loads) allow the installation of the manipulator, ensuring the safety of work. Or they can be mounted stationary on a specially prepared site. Manipulators have a longitudinal, relative to the vehicle, folding scheme and are installed (when mounted on a chassis) behind the vehicle cab or on the rear overhang of the load platform. In the latter case, loading (unloading) of the trailer is also ensured.
