Optical transceiver is an optical receiving and transmitting module or optical transceiver designed to perform optical-electronic (on the receiving side) and electronic-optical (on the transmitting side) conversion at speeds up to 25G in fibre-optic communication lines of different range, based on fibre optic communication systems (such as xWDM systems), OTN switches, Etherrnet routing and switching systems and others.
The optical transceiver module can be implemented in the standardised MSA SFP form factor. The optical receiving and transmitting module can receive and transmit signals at speeds of up to 25 Gbit/s on each channel at distances of up to 10 kilometres.
