Multichannel Fiber Optic Methane Concentration Meter BSM for Reliable Monitoring Applications

Designed to work in conjunction with methane alarms designed to form monitoring systems, whose tasks include signalling the presence of methane in the exhaust candles of underground crossings of main gas pipelines over railways and roads, above the backfill thermal insulation of insulated storage tanks for liquefied natural gas, in the screen-vacuum thermal insulation of cryogenic pipelines, etc.
The BSM fulfils the following tasks:
- continuous monitoring of methane concentration at the place of installation of methane alarm devices;
- detection of methane concentration exceeding 0.02% for a regulated period of time;
- detection of fibre-optic cable (FOC) breakage;
- detection of methane signalling devices malfunction (clogging).
