The reverse, which is necessary for thread cutting, is controlled by an intelligent circuit. The reversing lock when the motor is switched on protects the motor from damage even if it is used carelessly.

Additional protection against such use are vandal-proof buttons and a cable that supplies power to the engine, hidden deep inside the case.
