Description

PVS-40-05-U1 is designed to provide centralised power supply from the high-voltage train main. The converter is installed on the cars of the trains of the permanent formation of "Premium" class trains Moscow - Samara, "Nevsky Express", "Krasnaya Strela". PVS-40-05-U1 consists of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) parts, which are located in 2 standard hermetic undercarriage boxes of IP54 version.

The converter input can be supplied with any of the following supply voltages: 3000V and 1500V DC, 3000V and 1500V AC 50Hz and 1000V AC 16 2/3 Hz. PVS-40-05-U1 in parking can function in full at supply from external AC network 3 x380 V; 50 Hz with deviations of network voltage 10% from the nominal value. Output voltage of 2 channels of the high-voltage part of the converter can vary depending on the composition and characteristics of power consumers.
