BIAT Distributed Fiber Optic Temperature Meter for Monitoring Applications

The distributed fibre optic temperature meter BIAT s (BIAT) is designed for the formation of monitoring systems, the tasks of which are prevention of illegal actions in the area of main oil pipelines, oil product pipelines, gas pipelines and other extended objects, as well as control of the state of extended objects and/or their protection zones.
BIAT performs the following tasks:
- continuous temperature monitoring of the fibre optic cable (FOC) laid along an extended object;
- detection of oil or gas leakage through the channel of temperature change registration for a regulated time interval;
- determination of the place and time of the leakage presence.
