Automated Log Parameter Measurement Device AXEL-1D for Precision Measurement

Meters of geometric parameters of logs AXEL (AXEL) are designed to work as an automatic means of measuring linear and dimensionless parameters of logs and is used as part of automated sorting lines of round timber, round timber accounting systems, other similar systems and independently. Diameter (thickness) measurement is carried out along the length of the perpendicular between two parallel straight lines touching the side surface of the log from opposite sides. Depending on the model, diameter measurement can take place in one plane (AXEL-1D) or in two planes (AXEL-2D). Log length measurement is based on the shortest distance between the ends. The volume of the logs is determined by summing the volumes of truncated cones according to GOST 32594-2013.
