Generators of microconcentrations of oxygen EK-500 are designed for preparation of verification gas mixtures with microconcentrations of oxygen. The generators are stationary single-block devices of continuous operation. The method of oxygen generation is electro-lytic. The value of oxygen volume fraction at the outlet is determined by the carrier gas flow rate and electrolyser current.
The carrier gas used is hydrogen-in-nitrogen EC with a nominal hydrogen volume fraction of 1.9 % (ECO 3913-87). Before supplying the carrier gas to the electrolyser, catalytic afterburning of oxygen impurities is carried out. The method of carrier gas supply is forced, due to overpressure in the EC cylinder. Structurally, the generators are designed as single-unit generators in a metal case.
The generator housing contains: carrier gas preparation unit, flow regulator, two electrolysers and control unit. On the front panel of the generators there are digital display and controls.
