The CU-H5 control unit is a product of the GORIZONT optical transport platform. GORIZONT equipment is used in the unified telecommunication network of the Russian Federation as a receiving and transmitting device for digital fibre-optic transmission lines.
The GORIZONT equipment supports the technology of dense spectral channel densification (DWDM) and protocols of optical transport networks OTN. The CU-H5 control unit performs the functions of controlling the racks: receiving and processing commands from the control system, controlling the units installed in the slots of the racks and general purpose units (power input units PEM, fan units FAN, air filter unit), processes alarm messages from the units.
