The AVANTEK 7100 micro-pulse level transmitters are designed for continuous measurement of liquid or bulk materials level, as well as the interface level of liquid media. The operating principle of the level transmitters is based on the measurement of the time between the generation of an electromagnetic pulse and the detection of the reflected part of the electromagnetic pulse.
The microwave pulses are generated inside the electronic unit of the device and are guided along a waveguide located in the liquid or bulk medium from which they are reflected back. Depending on the given tank height, propagation time and pulse return time, the instrument calculates the distance to the surface of the medium and determines the filling level of the tank.
The contact method of measurement makes the reflection of the signal more reliable, thus avoiding wave loss. Micro-pulse level transmitters for bulk solids with a unique sensor design can withstand high pulling forces and reduce the risk of probe breakage.
