Active forearm prosthesis KIBI transcarpal modification refers to prostheses with traction control system: cables are stretched from the fingers to the shoulder, when bending (extending) the residual limb in the elbow joint, the cables are stretched (loosen the traction), and the fingers of the prosthesis are compressed (unclenched). The prosthesis allows you to hold and carry objects of different shapes and sizes up to 3kg and perform everyday activities. It is suitable for adults and children from two years of age.
The colour and design of the prosthesis can be chosen by the user. General description: The prosthesis is intended for partial compensation of congenital and amputation defects at the level of wrist joint or hand (with hand length up to 4-5 cm and preserved amplitude of movements in the hand up to 45 g). Suitable for adults and children from 2 years of age.
The prosthesis is produced in a modification with separated fingers. The prosthesis consists of:- hand module with fingers;- forearm module;- shoulder arch with fixed cuff;- cables stretched from the fingers to the shoulder arch of the prosthesis;- stump sleeve.
