The apparatus is a shell-and-tube heat exchanger of vertical type, the main units of which are: pipe system, water chamber.Assembly of units is carried out by means of flange connection, providing the possibility of their preventive inspection and repair. The tube system consists of a tube board, a frame, U-shaped heat-exchange tubes, the ends of which are flared in the tube board. The frame of the tube system is formed by: frame racks, transverse segmental partitions that direct the steam flow and serve as intermediate supports for the heat exchanger tubes, vapour trap. On the tube board there is an installation of an air valve for air removal from the casing during hydro-testing and a valve for water drainage from the water chamber.
