SOKOL Software-Hardware Complex for Automated Quality Monitoring in Extrusion

SOKOL is used as a tool that completely eliminates the need for the operator to monitor the quality of technological operations performed for a long time, such as: extrusion of cable sheaths, polymer and metal profiles and pipes, talcum powdering of the core before sheathing. In addition to these tasks, the system successfully copes with the control of geometric parameters and surface defects of 50 microns and more, which is important for the company, striving to ensure consistently high product quality and efficiency of material consumption. The system includes: optical analyser box, logic controller unit, software (image preparation module, neural networks complex for graphic analytics, user interface, integration modules with SCADA and controller), communication cables. The application of artificial intelligence and neural networks allowed to increase the accuracy of measurements and defect recognition.
