C52s are Category I lights according to Part III of the Marine Equipment (Signalling Devices) Regulations for use on ships of 50m or more in length and are used to ensure safety of navigation on marine vessels in accordance with the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions between Ships in the Sea-ICCP-72.
