Optical Pulse Control Block TCO-001 for Efficient Signal Transmission

The TCO-001 unit is used for transmission of pulses via optical channel. The control pulses of the thyristor converter of the excitation system are formed by transistors included in the scheme with open collector. The unit is designed for transmission of six thyristor control pulses through optical channels.

The input connector of the block is connected to the XE1 (XE2) connector of the regulator. The unit is powered with 24 V voltage from the same connector. The design of the unit allows mounting it on a DIN-rail.

To control the optical power level it is recommended to use the FOD 1202Si device (www.fod.ru). Formation of an unmodulated signal (continuous pulse) is achieved using a thyristor converter failure simulation generator.
