Modular Lower Leg Prosthesis with Microprocessor Control for Enhanced Mobility

Modular tibia prosthesis, including underdevelopment, with microprocessor-controlled foot module: Fitting sleeve according to individual mould. Two trial diagnostic sleeves made of thermoplastic sheet. The material of the individual permanent socket is injection moulded acrylic resin laminate with carbon fibre reinforcement at the loading points.

The prosthesis is secured with a silicone cover. The module is load-bearing, lightweight. The moulding part of the cosmetic lining is high-density polyurethane foam in flesh colour.

The foot is electronic-mechanical, with microprocessor-controlled hydraulic ankle. The prosthesis has an automatic locking mode when the user is standing still on both horizontal and inclined support surfaces. A rechargeable battery is integrated in the ankle housing.
