Maximum Current Protection Block BMTZ 426431.077 for Synchronous Machine Excitation Systems

The unit is installed in excitation systems of synchronous machines produced by the "Elektrosila" plant of OJSC "Power Machines". The unit is designed for protection of thyristor converter of excitation system. The protection programme is executed with the period of 200 µs.

When the instantaneous value of the setpoint current is exceeded, fast-acting (response time not more than 0.8 ms) solid-state relays are activated and electromechanical relays with response time not more than 8 ms are latched. Signals from the solid-state relays are fed to the inputs of AVR series automatic field regulators and are used to pick up control pulses of thyristor converter. Electromechanical relays are used for signalling of protection operation.

Warranty period - 36 months from the date of shipment to the factory "Elektrosila".
