Description
The upper thrust bearing is a unit assembled from a liner and two thrust half rings. The liner and thrust half rings are made of bimetallic steel-aluminium strip, produced by rolling antifriction alloy with steel non-corrosion-resistant strip. The sliding alloy is an aluminium-based alloy with the addition of non-ferrous metals such as tin and copper. The steel-aluminium strip is used for stamping and subsequent machining with metal removal to produce the insert and thrust half-rings. The insert and thrust half-rings are then assembled into one unit and further machining is carried out
