It has a high degree of functional safety and protection elements. Food waste is loaded from the galley area into the "IPS" shredding feeding stations. The stations crush the food waste into smaller particles.

A small amount of water is added to the food waste to clean the intake hopper and create a liquid mass (slurry). When the pneumatic valve is opened, the food waste is transported by vacuum through the pipeline to the collection tank.
