One of the most important operations in the repair of cylinder heads of internal combustion engine (ICE) is the replacement (pressing out and pressing in) of valve guide sleeves. Often this process is done manually, using a sledgehammer and mandrel, which in itself is a labour-intensive and unreliable operation, depending on the qualification of the worker, and often leads to deformation of the seat or other unpleasant situations.
