The transponder is designed to receive request and emit response signals for continuous determination on board an aircraft of the slanted distance from the end of the runway during landing approach. It has a directional antenna and reduced radiation power. It consists of an antenna part, a cabinet with radio-electronic equipment and auxiliary devices.
