The bellows metal compensator is designed to compensate for temperature and mechanical displacements of pipeline systems located at aboveground (including indoors) and underground laying of pipelines in channels, tunnels, chambers. It is an independent element of the pipeline system, a special device compensating the occurrence of excessive stresses without allowing the destruction of the pipeline in their occurrence.
Conducted medium: fresh mains water, drinking water, condensate, crude oil, petroleum products, steam, natural gas, gaseous media that do not cause corrosion of the compensator materials. Swivel bellows compensators absorb only angular deformations of pipeline elements, providing bending of the compensator axis relative to the centre of the bellows, and do not transfer spacing forces arising from the action of internal pressure on the walls of the bellows corrugations to fixed supports and equipment.
