The locomotive negotiation recorder RPL-2M2 (hereinafter referred to as RPL) is designed to record negotiations between the locomotive crew and the dispatcher via radio communication channels, to record fulfilment of negotiation regulations between the driver and the assistant driver at train departure and on the move. RPL records contain information on the home depot code and locomotive's on-board number, as well as the factory number of the RPL.
When connecting RPL-2M2 to KLUB-U via Gateway-CAN, the record is made with reference to track ordinate, time, locomotive traffic light status, actual and permissible speed. Track ordinate, locomotive traffic light status, actual and permissible speed, pressure in the brake line are recorded by the RPL simultaneously with the recording of negotiations.
